Air ambulance called to crash in Ilkeston

An air ambulance was called after a van hit a pedestrian.

Police were called to the incident in Stanton Road, Ilkeston, at around 2.55pm on Friday (January 31).

A spokeswoman for Derbyshire Constabulary said a land ambulance and air ambulance were called following the incident.

The male pedestrian is not thought to have sustained life-changing injuries.

The road was closed and later reopened at around 3.20pm.

No arrests have been made.

Anyone with information is asked to call the force, quoting incident 671 of January 31.
