Air ambulance called as man rushed to hospital after falling off ladder

A man has been taken to hospital after falling from a ladder at a house in Longsight.

Police were called to Northmoor Road at around 3pm on Wednesday afternoon to reports that a man had fallen from a ladder outside a property.

He was taken to hospital.

The extent of his injuries are not yet clear.

Pictures from the scene show an air ambulance, which landed at a park a short distance away from the incident.

The man was taken to hospital by paramedics from North West Ambulance Service.

A police van was parked outside a house on Northmoor Road on Wednesday afternoon.

The property appears be undergoing renovations and has scaffolding from the roof down to the ground.

It is not yet known how the man came to fall from the ladder.

A spokesperson for GMP said: "Police were called shortly before 3pm on Wednesday 19 February 2020 to reports that a man had fallen from a ladder at an address on Northmoor Road.

"The man has been taken to hospital.

"No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing."
