A man was taken to hospital after he was 'attacked with a broken bottle' in Bolton.
Officers were called to Darley Street, in Farnworth, Bolton, at around 2.15pm yesterday afternoon in response to reports of an assault.
An air ambulance was also sent to the scene, along with paramedics.
The injured man was taken to ambulance by road, the North West Ambulance Service said.
However, a police spokesperson said his injuries were not life threatening.
And, GMP have since confirmed that a 27-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of assault.
In a statement, a force spokesperson said: "At 2.09pm this afternoon (12 October) police were called to a report of an assault on Darley Street in Farnworth.
"Officers attended and initial enquiries have established that a male was attacked with a broken bottle following an altercation.
"The male was taken to hospital. His injuries are not life threatening.
"A 27 year old woman has been arrested on suspicion of assault."
