Air ambulance called after medical emergency reported near Ravenshead

An air ambulance was called to an emergency in a Nottinghamshire village on Friday morning, March 3.

Paramedics were also called to the 'medical emergency' in Harlow Wood, near Ravenshead, close to Portland College, at 9.34am.

A double-crewed ambulance, a hazardous response team and air ambulance were all sent to the scene in addition to the air ambulance.

It has been confirmed one patient was taken to hospital via ambulance, but their condition has not been stated.

An East Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 9.34am on March 5 to Harlow Wood near Ravenshead. The caller reported a medical emergency.

"We sent a double-crewed ambulance and the Hazardous Area Response Team. The air ambulance was also in attendance. One patient was taken to Nottingham City Hospital via double-crewed ambulance.”

The cause of the emergency and injuries obtained have not been revealed at this time.
