Air ambulance called after man falls from building on Liverpool street

The air ambulance landed in Toxteth after a man in his 40s suffered a head injury after a fall.

The emergency services were called out to the Noel Street area off Lodge Lane yesterday lunchtime following reports that a man had suffered a fall.

Residents said they saw the air ambulance land on a patch of land near Noel Street.

A police spokesman said the force was asked to attend an address in Whittier Street at around 1.50pm after a man, said to be in his 40s, had fallen and suffered a head injury.

A spokesman for the ambulance service confirmed to the ECHO that the air ambulance landed at the scene but was not needed. The spokesman said that a man who had suffered a fall was taken to Aintree hospital by ambulance.

The spokesman did not have further information about the man's condition.
