Air ambulance called after car rolls into water filled ditch in Alveston

Emergency services rushed to Alveston yesterday (April 4) after a car left the road and plunged into a drainage ditch.

Avon Fire and Rescue crews from Avonmouth, Temple, Patchway, Thornbury, and Bedminster fire stations were called shortly before 5.30pm yesterday to Earthcott Road.

A white car had left the road and landed in the rhyne.

Police, ambulance, and the air ambulance were also all called to the scene.

The services were initially called to reports of people trapped in the vehicle but all of the occupants were thankfully able to evacuate before the arrival of the emergency services.

More than 100 cannabis plants found in Mangotsfield raid 

It is not yet known whether there were any casualties involved in the incident.

South Western Ambulance Service and the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity have been approached for comment.
