Air ambulance and police called to 'serious incident' at Wales holiday park

Emergency services rushed to a North Wales holiday park this afternoon after a 'serious incident.'

Police and air ambulance arrived at Parkdean's Ty Mawr Holiday Park in Towyn, on Saturday, July 31.

The scene surrounding the holiday park was cordoned off and roads were closed surrounding including the A548 in both directions.

North Wales Live said that they have received reports of a stabbing, however police have not yet confirmed this.

There were also reports from eyewitnesses of two ambulances along with three rapid response vehicles and three police cars near to caravans, which were taped off.

Police have confirmed that there is no threat to the wider public.

In a tweet, the force said: "Officers are attending a serious incident at a Holiday Park near Abergele. Investigations are ongoing. Apologies for any difficulty.

"There is no threat to the public but please stay away as we deal with the incident. Thanks for your patience."

A spokesperson at Ty Mawr Holiday Park said: "There has been an incident at the park and our team are assisting the police. It would be inappropriate to comment further."
