Aintree Racecourse encourage Grand National 2019 racegoers NOT to bring any bags this year

For the Grand National Festival this year, Aintree Racecourse has introduced a bag policy.

Aintree Racecourse is encouraging people NOT to bring a bag at all, if possible and instead use pockets for valuables.

However, if Grand National Festival racegoers must take a bag with them, it must be no bigger than 20 cm in height, 30 cm in length and 10 cm width.

Bags must not be rucksacks, suitcases or holdalls.

If you have a camera or binoculars they can not be kept in your bag, instead they must be up around your neck with a strap or in your pockets.

All bags will be searched upon entry to the racecourse and both glass bottles and plastic bottles will not be allowed - this includes aftershave and perfume bottles.

Aintree Racecourse has introduced the new bag policy for safety.
