Aintree Grand National weights to be released on Tuesday

The weights for this year's Randox Health Grand National are set to be revealed on Tuesday.

They will be announced at the traditional lunch, which this year is to be held at St George's Hall in Liverpool city centre.

Gigginstown have made it clear that they may not run Tiger Roll in the race if he is given a high weight.

The Gordon Elliott-trained ten-year-old has won the race for the past two years and is bidding to become the first horse in history to win it three times in a row.

He is set to prove his fitness in next week's Boyne Hurdle at Navan before contesting the Glenfarclas Chase at the Cheltenham Festival.

Tiger Roll currently heads the betting for the Aintree showpiece at a general price of 5/1.
