Aidan O'Shea's girlfriend shares photo as she views Mayo's win over Roscommon on TV

Mayo booked their place in the Connacht Senior Football Championship final earlier today with a win over Roscommon.

Aidan O'Shea played his part in the 1-16 to 0-13 victory at Dr Hyde Park, with Cillian O'Connor being the star man for the Westerners once again.

With the Championship being played behind closed doors due to Covid-19, O'Shea's girlfriend Kristin McKenzie Vass was watching the game from home.

She shared a photo on her Instagram story as she watched the match with green and red heart emojis.

Speaking after the game, Cillian O'Connor praised the Westerners' younger players.

He told RTE: "The young lads have done really well. There are a lot of them who have settled in and some of them who aren't even here today that are pushing the standards on outside the 26, bursting trying to get into it.

"So they've added a bit of freshness and a bit of innocence to it, so we're just enjoying it, going session to session and taking it week by week."

He added: "Around the middle we did quite well.

"Initially we were struggling on breaking ball and that was a platform for their attacks.

"Then we started winning breaks and winning 50:50s in the middle. That probably gave us a good start."
