AI creates fake fashion MODELS - and they're scarily realistic

At first glance, you’d be forgiven for mistaking these models as those from the latest Gap campaign.

But the models don’t actually exist. Instead, they’re the result of an artificial intelligence system.

Researchers from DataGrid have developed an AI that can conjure up fashion models from scratch, including their faces and bodies.

DataGrid posted a video of the models on YouTube , and they’re scarily realistic.

Why the viral image of unrecognisable objects is so CREEPY, according to experts

While the firm didn’t reveal many details on how the models were generated, it’s likely to be the result of a neural network being fed images of real models, before creating similar fictional models.

The virtual models could come as bad news for real models, such as Cara Delevingne and David Gandy.

If they’re widely adopted, they could allow brands to advertise their products without having to invest in photo shoots.
