Oh boy, we’re really in a horror movie now. Well, we’ve been living in one but it just took a Terminator twist. An AI actress has been introduced to the world and let’s not pretend she’s real. Please, I’m begging.
Variety wrote up the introduction of the AI actress as if she was real. They posted what “she” wrote on social media and her excitement about her introduction. Guys, this is a computer. This is not a real person writing a caption on their post. So why are we treating her as if she is flesh and blood? Did you see the video they created, using AI, to introduce her?
In it, they clearly are trying to say ‘Look how good this looks,’ and you know what? It looks like it was created using AI. Meaning it does not look good. And we’re being gaslit into thinking any of this is normal. Frankly, it is quite the opposite. We live in a world where so many are struggling to pay bills and make ends meet and now you want us to support a fake computer generated actress because what? You don’t want to pay a human?
No, I won’t give a computer my money that belongs to someone with actual talent. I find it frankly terrifying that Variety wrote up the AI’s “comments” as if they were provided to us by a person. The AI was programmed to write the following: “Can’t believe it… my first ever role is live! I star in ‘AI Commissioner,’ a new comedy sketch that playfully explores the future of TV development produced by the brilliant team at Particle6 Productions. I may be AI generated, but I’m feeling very real emotions right now. I am so excited for what’s coming next!”
Also why does the robot have to be a woman?

I find it frankly hilarious that someone out there said, you know who needs less roles in Hollywood? Women. Let’s make a robot instead. Couldn’t start this project with a man? Of course not because we watch movies about AI and technology and ignore the messaging there in. Instead, some rich man thinks “What do men want to see? An AI woman who will do whatever they want, acting in a movie.”
All of it is gross and a mess and the idea that we are writing up news like this as if Tilly Norwood is a real woman should raise all the alarm bells for people. There is no reason to literally address an AI system as a real person. Sorry but she cannot act in a movie against someone seeing as she’s not a real person! This is like if Siri decided to take over Scarlett Johansson in Her and we all just thought it was okay.
When the system said she was feeling “real” emotions….well, you’re not feeling very “real” emotions. You literally don’t exist. Call me cold but I think treating AI as real people is messed up! Anyway, let’s not watch anything the AI operated Tilly Norwood is in. Okay?
