AHMEDABAD: A 32-year-old man from Chandkheda on Friday filed a complaint with police alleging that his two neighbours thrashed him after he objected to their dog peeing on his car’s tyre late on Thursday night.
In his FIR with Chandkheda police, Karnail Katoch, 32, a resident of Parth Avenue in Chandkheda, said the accused father and son duo — Chirag Malhotra and Sunny Malhotra — often picked fights with other members of society over their pet dog.
Katoch said that he and other residents used to avoid quarrels with the Malhotras but they never kept their pet in control.
He said that when he was standing his balcony, he saw that the Malhotras’ dog was peeing on his car tyre, which he had cleaned earlier.
Katoch said that he screamed from his balcony, telling Sunny to keep his dog in control so that it would not pee on his car tyre.
Sunny began abusing and threatening him with dire consequences.
Katoch said he told him that he would come downstairs and talk to him.
By the time Katoch went downstairs to the parking area, Sunny and Chirag were there with sticks in their hands.
Katoch alleged that the father-son duo hit him with the sticks on his head and he began bleeding heavily.
On witnessing the fight, other residents rushed in and rescued Katoch from the two accused persons.
He said he was taken to a private hospital where a medico-legal case was filed.
Later, Katoch registered an FIR for causing grievous hurt with Chandkheda police against Chirag and Sunny Malhotra.
