AHMEDABAD: A 32-year-old man from the Nava Vadaj area of city on Thursday filed a complaint with police alleging that he was extorted Rs 66,000 by an unknown woman who recorded a video call between them in which she was nude.
The complainant said in his FIR with Vadaj police that he was sitting in an autorickshaw when an unknown woman made a video call in which she was nude on May 31.
Later, the woman sent the video to him in which he was being seen in another window watching the nude woman. The unidentified woman called him up and demanded money from him. He said that the woman first sought Rs 10,000 for not circulating the video on social media. She kept calling him and took money while threatening him to post the video on social media websites. She allegedly took nearly Rs 50,000 with such threats.
After he coughed up around Rs 66,000, the woman demanded more money.
