AHMEDABAD: A couple going to watch a film on a motorcycle, residents of Dholka, were hit near the Sanathal bridge by a speeding car coming from the direction of Ujala Circle.
The accident took place at about 4.30pm on Wednesday. The woman, Bhargavi Prajapati, later died while her husband, Dhaval Prajapati, is in hospital battling for his life.
A complaint was registered by Viral Prajapati, the brother of Dhaval Prajapati at SG Highway 2 police station. The complainant said his wife Disha told him that Dhaval and Bhargavi were going to Ahmedabad for a film and had met with an accident at the foot of the Sanathal bridge.
She told him that they were injured had been taken to Sola Civil Hospital.
When he got to Sola Civil Hospital, he was told that Dhaval had been taken to Zydus Hospital while Bhargavi had died. He said that he was told that Yash Patel, 21, a resident of Badarkha, was driving the car that had hit the Prajapatis’ motorcycle. He had suffered injuries to his face and was admitted to the hospital.
