AHMEDABAD: An 11-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her father's friend after he took her out to have coffee.
Naroda police have arrested one Arvind Parmar for the alleged rape. According to the complaint, the accused was a friend of the victim's father and often took her out.
On Monday, the girl went missing from home. When she did not return till late, her family went looking for her and spotted her with Parmar. He then dropped her home and left.
However, the girl broke down and informed her parents about the rape.
The complainant stated that Parmar would visit their house every evening and take her out on the pretext of having snacks.
On Monday, he took her out for coffee but did not return till late.
When the family called him up, he said that he was stuck due to a delay in payment.
When he did not return with the child even after 20 minutes, the family went looking for her and spotted the two.
