Ahh Toots launch new cake delivery and collection service

A café known for making some of the best cakes in Bristol has launched a new delivery and collection service.

Ahh Toots owners Amy Symonds and Tamarind Galliford were hoping to be up and running in their new home at the foot of the Christmas Steps in April, while keeping their popular St Nicholas Market stall running.

But their plans were cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which has instead forced them to take their creations on the road.

Their new delivery service is perfect for people who have an occasion to celebrate in lockdown - or simply those who love nothing more than a good slice of cake.

Customers can also choose to pre-order cakes on the newly-launched Ahh Toots website before picking them up from the cakery's new site, which the couple moved into just one day before lockdown was announced.

"We are of course gutted that we weren't able to have the grand launch we'd planned at the Christmas Steps," said Amy, who has worked as a chef at a number of top restaurants including the Pony & Trap.

"But luckily we moved into the new place just before lockdown began, transporting all of our equipment from our former Easton hub where we used to make all of our cakes.

"With our kitchen now fully functional we've started doing pre-order collections and delivery, which has proved really popular so far.

"We'd like to say thank you to everyone who has supported us so far, and we can't wait until we're able to fully open our lovely new home."

Cakes available include celebration cakes, cookies, doughnuts, cupcakes and more.

Customers can collect their pre-ordered cakes between Wednesday and Friday, while delivery takes place every Friday.
