Agents hold 'exploratory talks' over Nottingham Forest exit

Nottingham Forest striker Emmanuel Dennis is "highly likely" to leave the Reds this summer, it is claimed.

The 25-year-old arrived at the City Ground for a reported fee in the region of £15million last summer from Watford. He scored just two Premier League goals in 19 appearances during his debut season at the Reds.

Both of his goals for Steve Cooper's team came at home in matches against Aston Villa and Newcastle United.

And The Athletic claim that Dennis is set to leave the club this summer with "representatives" of the striker "holding exploratory talks with potential interested parties." It is also claimed that he is "comfortable" with leaving "if the right opportunity presents itself."

The report also claims that the Reds "are yet to receive an official offer" for the striker but are also known to be "open to discussions over an exit." Further talks are said to be planned over a "proposed departure in the near future" between representatives and the club hierarchy.

If Forest can get anywhere near the reported £15m they paid for Dennis then it would be good business for them. With several Premier League stars moving to Saudi Arabia in big-money moves, Forest may be hoping that one of them can make a move for their reported wantaway forward.

But the Athletic also claim that the striker wants to remain in Europe and is "not contemplating" a move to Saudi Arabia.
