Agents close to landing new tenant for speculative warehouse at Derbyshire business park

Agents marketing a newly-built warehouse unit at a Derbyshire business park have said that they are close to securing a tenant.

Work has recently been completed on the speculatively built 72,000 sq ft building at the Castlewood Business Park, near Junction 28 of the M1 at South Normanton.

Now, joint agents FHP Property Consultants and Savills have revealed that the Grade A warehouse building, known as CW72, is under offer.

In a joint statement, the agents said: “The recently speculatively completed 72,000 sq ft warehouse/production building on site, CW72, has created substantial interest and has been placed under offer.

“We hope to be able to confirm details of the new occupier in the next couple of weeks.”

Further development is planned at Castlewood Business Park (CWC Group)

As a result of this success, site preparation works have started on Plot 11 at Castlewood with further planned speculative development coming soon on that site. Once completed, it will offer smaller units to buy or rent from 15,000 sq ft upwards.

Finally, part of Plot 6 at the business park has been put under offer to add extra facilities to the site.

The agents said: “We look forward to revealing details of this exciting development in the near future.”

Tim Gilbertson, from FHP, said: “The onward development at Castlewood is fantastic.

“It is terrific to have a site where we always seem to have activity with a couple more deals completed recently and further development planned.

“It is certainly an exciting time for the park as we move towards the last quarter of the year.

“We still have land available to develop bespoke industrial or warehouse space from as little as 15,000 sq ft upwards.

“Our land supply is diminishing, so hopefully any potential occupiers who have been watching development on the site with interest over the last few years will take advantage of the final plots available.”
