'Agent Saka': Arsenal fans have Morgan Rogers transfer theory as shirt number 'revealed'

Arsenal supporters have been saying the same thing after Bukayo Saka dropped an apparent Morgan Rogers transfer hint.

The Gunners continue to be linked with a move for the Aston Villa attacking midfielder, though there has been little progress on any potential deal - said to be in the region of £130million - due to England’s involvement at the World Cup.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is a big admirer of the England international and would be keen to sign the 23-year-old this summer as he seeks to bolster his squad.

Rogers came off the bench as the Three Lions beat Norway on Saturday night to reach the World Cup semi-finals, it was his shot in extra-time that lead to Jude Bellingham scoring the winning goal.

Saka was also a substitute at the Miami Stadium, though it’s what the winger did after the quarter-final that has garnered a massive reaction from Gunners fans on social media.

Taking to Instagram, Saka uploaded a image of him and Rogers standing side-by-side on to his stories.

While there was no mention of an update regarding Arsenal’s move for Rogers, fans are adamant that Saka was teasing the idea of the pair becoming team-mates at club level as well as a potential shirt number ‘reveal’.

Interestingly, the No17 shirt at Arsenal is currently vacant. This has been the case since last summer when Oleksandr Zinchenko departed for Nottingham Forest before joining Ajax permanently in the January transfer window.

Rogers has worn No27 since joining Aston Villa, taking No17 for England at the World Cup.

Discussing his reported £130m price-tag, he said: "I'm not sure I'm worth all of that! Of course it's nice to hear that from people.

"But I don't let outside noise dictate me. I'm just going to keep focused, keep being me, keep being the person that got me here and keep trying to improve.

"I don't really listen to stuff like that."
