Agent reveals 'serious' Dusan Vlahovic Chelsea bid as Todd Boehly prepares £88m backup plan

Chelsea appear to have stepped up their pursuit of a new striker in the summer, with Dusan Vlahovic subject to growing interest. The 23-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League again recently following a shaky start to life at Juventus.

Vlahovic, who snubbed Arsenal for the Old Lady, has featured 26 times in the Serie A this season, directly contributing towards just 12 goals. While the Italian giants may have struggled, the Serbia international has continued to display glimpses of excellence.

On Thursday night, he reminded supporters why he should be regarded as one of Europe's best young strikers. In the Europa League semi-final second-leg against Sevilla, with the weight of the club on his shoulders, Vlahovic chipped Bono to give Juventus the lead.

Unfortunately for the Serbian, his composed effort wasn't enough to book a place in the final. Nevertheless, Chelsea are among three clubs who have made an 'offer' for Vlahovic, who has been identified as somebody who can transform their fortunes in the final third.

And, according to Italian football agent Massimo Brambati, Juventus are expected to consider the offers before making a final decision on the striker's future. In an interview on TMW Radio, Brambati said: "There are three teams that showed up.

"In my opinion, Juve will take these offers seriously. All of them have an important profile, because they’re Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid.

"I don’t know if the capital gain will be made [on Juventus' initial £66.6million investment], but after a year and a half of Vlahovic they’ve already amortised a year’s gross salary and a good part of the amount invested too."

Vlahovic isn't the only striker in the Serie A which Chelsea have their eyes on either. football.london understands that the Blues are considering a bid for Victor Osimehn, though he could cost as much as £88m.

However, if the in-form Napoli striker is to ply his trade in the Premier League then Jose Mourinho has given him some advice. As quoted by Goal, the Roma boss said: "He is of the same level as Drogba, but Didier didn’t dive. If Victor changes, then OK.

"I’d buy him if I was at a club with a lot of money. However, if he does go to England one day, he needs to change, because in Italy they put up with this sort of behaviour, whereas in the Premier League, they’d come down hard on him."
