'Agent Ozil, who needs Sancho?' - Arsenal fans excited by Mesut Ozil's message to Serge Gnabry

Arsenal supporters have taken to social media to respond after Mesut Ozil posted a message to Bayern Munich winger Serge Gnabry.

With all football currently suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic, players are still following a strict training regime from the comfort of their own homes.

Should the 2019/2020 season resume, then the aim is for players to be fit and ready to complete the campaign.

And Bayern Munich are no different, with the German champions uploading a video to their official YouTube account   of a Cyber Training with freestyler Sebastian.

The latest on possible Arsene Wenger statue and stand

Gnabry was one of several first-team players present and he took part whilst wearing this season's Arsenal adidas away kit.

Ozil responded by uploading a screenshot of the Bayern winger, with the caption: "Once a Gunner - always a Gunner? @SergeGnabry."

This prompted many Arsenal supporters to reply with tongue-in-cheek messages about bringing the winger back to the Emirates.

Gnabry joined Arsenal's youth ranks in 2011 and made his senior debut the following year in the League Cup, going on to make 10 Premier League appearances and scoring once.

However, following a failed loan stint with West Brom in 2015-16 that saw him make just one league appearance, Gnabry left the Premier League in search of regular football and signed with Bundesliga side Werder Bremen.

His performances back in his homeland attracted the attention of Bayern Munich where, after a spell on loan with Hoffenheim, he has been sensational - scoring 21 goals in 53 league appearances.

That has led to many Arsenal fans considering the German international to be the 'one that got away' but he remains a favourite, particularly after scoring four goals in a 7-2 drubbing of Tottenham in the Champions League earlier this season.
