Agent of Newcastle United loanee Valentino Lazaro dismisses talk on his future

Valentino Lazaro is "focused" on finishing the season with Newcastle United ahead of talks on his long-term future.

That's according to the Austrian international's agent Max Hagmayr, who has again addressed speculation on the 24-year-old's future.

Lazaro completed a move from Hertha Berlin to Inter Milan last summer, but only made three Serie A starts under former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte before completing a temporary switch to Tyneside in January.

The Magpies agreed a short-term extension on the winger's deal until the end of the season, and speculation continues to centre on whether Lazaro will return to the San Siro.

Lazaro has made six appearances so far in black-and-white, netting once in the FA Cup fifth-round victory at West Brom in March.

Talk of an agreed £21m option for United to make the deal permanent has previously been dismissed by Hagmayr.

Lazaro's agent has stressed talk of the former RB Salzburg winger's long-term future will be put on hold until the end of the season as a "matter of respect" to both Inter and United.

Hagmayr told Inter-News: "At the moment I don't want to talk about the player's future.

"If we signed a four-year contract, we didn't do it for no reason. But he is now focused on this season finale with Newcastle.

"Premier League is a great experience, he's playing and he's focused. For the future we will see, there will be time to talk about it, but only after the end of the season for a matter of respect towards both clubs."
