Agent of Liverpool star Mohamed Salah sends cryptic message after he is substituted vs Chelsea

The agent of Liverpool star Mohamed Salah, Ramy Abbas Issam, has posted a cryptic message on social media after the Egyptian ace was substituted during the second half of this evening's clash with Chelsea at Anfield.

With the the reigning Premier League title holders a goal down and searching for a route back into the game, following Mason Mount's first half opener, Liverpool chief Jurgen Klopp made a double change just past the hour mark.

The German opted to withdraw both Curtis Jones and Salah, replacing the duo with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and the returning Diogo Jota.

As Salah's shirt number was displayed by the fourth official, the former Chelsea man cut a surprised figure, shaking his head as he walked towards the touchline, allowing Jota to take his place.

With Liverpool desperate for a route back into the game, Klopp's decision to take Salah off was certainly a major surprise, with the winger currently at the top of the Premier League's scoring charts with 17 goals to his name this term.

Whilst Liverpool's supporters were stunned by Klopp's controversial decision, so was Salah's agent.

Abbas Issa quickly took to Twitter to share his bemusement, posting nothing more than a full stop.

As you can see from the tweet above, Salah's agent was not in the mood to post anything more than a solitary full stop, suggesting he was rather surprised by Klopp's move.

Abas Issa was not alone, though, as former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher, who was commentating on the game for Sky Sports, struggled to understand Klopp's thinking.

The former England centre-back told Sky Sports: “I’m surprised with that one, Mo Salah coming off, I really am.

"He’s not too happy himself. Liverpool need a goal and he’s the top scorer in the Premier League.”

Salah, despite Liverpool's woes recently, has enjoyed another productive season in front of goal, scoring a total of 24 goals in 36 appearances in all competitions.
