'Agent Dele' - Tottenham fans excited about Jack Grealish transfer after social media message

Jack Grealish has been a name that has been linked to Tottenham over the last couple of years.

The Aston Villa captain was close to a move to Spurs in the summer of 2018, only for the midlands side's new owners to step in and block the £25 million move.

Grealish instead signed a new deal at the club and captained them back to the Premier League via the playoffs. After the promotion he spoke of the failed move.

"At that game [Hull in August] I thought I was going and ten months later I'm here and have led my boyhood club to the PL as captain, scored against Blues twice, the perfect season," he told Sky Sports.

Aston Villa V Tottenham Hotspur: Match in a minute

Grealish has impressed in the Premier League this season, and has been tipped to break into the England squad ahead of this summers' European Championships.

The midfielder played the full 90 minutes of Villa's 3-2 defeat to Spurs on Sunday and caused the Tottenham backline problems throughout the match, providing an assist for Bjorn Engles' second-half equaliser.

After the match, Grealish and Dele Alli were seen talking to each other as they made their way off the pitch.

Dele has since posted pictures of the two on his Instagram stories with the caption 'Bro' and 'ski'.

That post has caused excitement among some Tottenham fans who are urging Spurs man to persuade his friend to make the move to the club.

Son Heung-min scored Spurs' winning goal with just 30 seconds of added time remaining to give Jose Mourinho's side a valuable three points in the race for Champions League football this season.

Tottenham now sit in fifth place in the table, just one point behind fourth placed Chelsea.

Spurs will be able to leapfrog their rivals into fourth place with a win at Stamford Bridge in their next Premier League game on Saturday.
