"Agent Dalot" - Diogo Dalot sends fans wild with message to Manchester United 'target'

Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot sent a message of praise to his compatriot Diogo Costa after his Champions League exploits on Wednesday night.

Goalkeeper Costa pulled off two stunning penalty saves as Porto secured a thumping 4-0 win over Club Brugge. The win secured the Portuguese side's qualification for the last-16 with a game to spare.

It is reported by The Athletic that United staff are keeping tabs on Costa, as uncertainty over David de Gea's long-term future rumbles on. And the 23-year-old did himself no harm with his latest showing in Europe's blue riband club competition. He pulled off a save to deny Hans Vanaken's shot only for VAR to order a retake after adjudging Costa to have moved off his line.

Dutch international Noa Lang then took the retake but Costa repeated his heroics with the scoreline 1-0 in Porto's favour at the time.

Dalot was quick to lavish praise on his fellow countryman on social media - and set United tongues wagging over a possible move for Costa.

"Agent Dalot" was a predictable response from one fan's Twitter account, while another wrote: "Diogo bring Diogo to #mufc."

It is not the first time that Costa has shown his heroics from 12 yards. He saved a spot-kick in both previous Champions League group games against Bayer Leverkusen, denying Patrick Schick in a 2-0 win earlier this month and then Kerem Demirbay in the rematch which Porto won 3-0.
