Agent confirms Man Utd phone call for €20m Argentina star, £100m Arsenal attacker 'very interested' in Liverpool and Aaron Ramsey deal close

These are your latest Premier League transfer rumours on Thursday, December 30.

Agent confirms Man Utd call

Reports in Argentina (via SportWitness ) state that Manchester United have been in contact with the agent of River Plate star Julián Álvarez.

Fernando Hidalgo, the striker's representative, has "received a call" from United, they report and the Premier League club are interested in acquiring his services and "want" to make him a new signing.

River Plate want to keep the attacker, though, who has a €20million release clause in his contract.

United's new man at the helm Ralf Rangnick has been linked with a host of players since he arrived at Old Trafford, with Alvarez the latest.

Anthony Martial is set to leave the club next month, freeing-up a berth for a new attacker.

Saka 'interested' in Liverpool move

Arsenal's new star man Bukayo Saka would be "interested" in a move to Liverpool, according to Reach's Transfer Window Podcast.

Saka is behind the Gunners' resurgence under Mikel Arteta, producing consistently excellent performances on a weekly basis.

His profile has soared in the last year, with his value now estimated at €120million considering his age, potential and his form.

As such Arsenal are trying to tie the youngster down to fresh terms to ward off Jurgen Klopp's interest, which Ian McGarry says is real.

"We have reported on The Transfer Window Podcast that Liverpool are looking to the future with regards to the fact that they expect to sell at least two of their attacking players," he said on the podcast.

"Saka is someone who is a player who suits Liverpool’s style.

"Liverpool would provide the opportunity and platform for him to play and compete at the highest level. And that would certainly be something that I’m told he and his representatives are very interested in."

Newcastle United close in on Rambo

Wales star Aaron Ramsey has "accepted the idea" of leaving Juventus next month, according to Calciomercato (via SportWitness ).

Newly-rich Newcastle United remain the only team in the frame, according to reports in Italy, with Eddie Howe's team said to have "taken steps" to sign him.

More talks are planned with ramsey's agent over the next few days, details the report with talks "reaching the end credits" stage.

Ramsey will hope to find regular game-time ahead of Wales' World Cup play-off matches in March.

Reds' move could spell end for Neco

Liverpool are eyeing "elite" right-back talent Calvin Ramsay - which could push Wales' Neco Williams closer to the Anfield exit door.

The Athletic reported earlier in the week that Williams was likely to move on in the next year or so, due to Trent Alexander-Arnold keeping him out of the starting XI under Klopp.

Now the Daily Record claim the Reds want Aberdeen starlet Ramsay, who has been branded "elite" by the club's chairman Dave Cormack.

Newcastle, Manchester United and Leicester all like the look of the teenager.
