'Agent Bellerin' - Arsenal fans excited after Hector Bellerin sends message to Santi Cazorla

Hector Bellerin has taken to social media after former Arsenal teammates Santi Cazorla and Nacho Monreal were reunited before a La Liga game.

Monreal left the Gunners during last summer's transfer window to join Real Sociedad, while Cazorla returned to Villarreal following the expiration of his Arsenal contract in 2018.

Both La Liga sides faced each other on Monday evening in what was a key clash in the race for European football for next season.

Sociedad ended up 2-1 victors thanks to goals from Willian Jose and Diego Llorente, but for Arsenal fans, the clash was significant for what happened before the game started.

As both teams waited in the tunnel, Monreal could be seen walking to Cazorla to share a hug.

This was spotted by an eagle-eyed Arsenal supporter who shared the image on  Reddit.

Cazorla and Monreal's popularity among some Arsenal fans were evident with the reaction on social media, but it appears the Spanish duo remain on good terms with their former teammates too.

Bellerin took to Twitter on Tuesday to share a video of the pair, with the caption: "Ahhh I miss these two."

The defender's tweet prompted reaction from some Arsenal supporters, with one posting: "Tell both to come back, we miss them too," whilst another wrote: "Agent Bellerin!"

Ex-Gunners star Cazorla played a key role in Monreal's move to north London in January 2013.

"I remember on January 31, I woke up, looked at my phone and has two [missed] calls from Santi. And I thought it was really strange, Santi calling me in the morning," Monreal recalled.

“So I called him: ‘Santi, how are you? What’s happened? [he replied] Nacho, do you want to come to Arsenal? [I replied] What, pardon me? Yes, of course’.

“So the transfer was really quick. On one day I was training in the morning with Malaga and I didn’t know anything, and then 10 hours later I was signing my contract with Arsenal.

"It was a really, really strange day for me, really happy of course, a good day for me."
