'Agent' Allan Saint-Maximin told to convince France star to sign for Newcastle United after tweet

Newcastle United supporters have told Allan Saint-Maximin to work his magic and convince Marcus Thuram to sign for the Magpies. The French winger sent his fellow countryman a message of support following France's win over Morocco in the World Cup semi-final in Qatar.

Thuram, who was a substitute for the defending champions in the semi-final, is a player who has been linked with a move to Newcastle following on from the takeover at St. James' Park last season. The 25-year-old is highly rated across the continent having scored 13 goals already this season, but his contract is set to expire with Borussia Monchengladbach this summer.

Manchester United are reportedly keen on his signature, with Newcastle also said to be monitoring developments. Monchengladbach assistant manager Oliver Neuville has already admitted the club will struggle to keep hold of Thuram this summer.
