Erik ten Hag has named his starting line-up for Manchester United's Carabao Cup third round clash with Aston Villa at Old Trafford this evening, making a flurry of changes.
United, who were knocked out of the competition at the third round stage last season, will be looking to get back to winning ways following Sunday's 3-1 Premier League defeat to Villa. It marked the Reds' first defeat in 10 matches, meaning they missed the chance to move level on points with fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.
It means that Ten Hag will be eager to see a response from his players this evening, in what is the Reds' final home game before the World Cup pause. The Dutchman, as expected, has opted to make a handful of changes to the team that was beaten by Unai Emery's side four days ago, making seven changes in total.

Martin Dubravka, who has been awarded his debut, Harry Maguire, Tyrell Malacia, Scott McTominay, Bruno Fernandes, Anthony Martial and Fred have come into the side, meaning David de Gea, Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw, Christian Eriksen, Alejandro Garmacho, Cristiano Ronaldo, who has not been named in the matchday squad, and Casemiro have dropped out.
Meanwhile, the likes of Facundo Pellistri and Anthony Elanga have been named among the substitutes. However, Raphael Varane, Jadon Sancho and Antony remain unavailable.
Having made the decision to make seven changes to the side that was beaten on Sunday, Ten Hag will be hoping to see a better performance than the one his team produced in the Midlands, as they aim to book their place in the fourth round draw. It is, however, the decision to keep Donny van de Beek in the side for the third game running that has attracted the most attention from United's supporters in the immediate aftermath of the team news being confirmed.
Below, MEN Sport has taken a close look at what some of United's supporters have had to say in response to Ten Hag's decision to award another start to his fellow countryman.
As you can see from the messages displayed in the tweets above, Ten Hag's decision to hand another start to Van de Beek has not gone down overly well. United's fans have been left amazed that he has retained his place after such an ineffective showing against Villa on Sunday.
United starting line-up: Dubravka; Dalot, Maguire, Lindelof, Malacia; McTominay, Fred, Van de Beek; Fernandes, Martial, Rashford.
Substitutes: De Gea, Martinez, Shaw, Casemiro, Eriksen, Elanga, Pellistri, Garnacho, Shoretire.
