Agadoo singer and Kylie Minogue tribute is joining Coronation Street

A singer with the band Black Lace is swapping pushing pineapples for a role on the Coronation Street cobbles. Vikki Reynolds, who joined the party band in 2017, would now love a permanent part after working on the world's longest-running soap.

Vikki joined the UK band, singing their hit track Agadoo at various shows, in 2017. The performer has also worked as a Kylie Minogue tribute act throughout her entertainment caree, reports The Daily Star.

Working as a travel coordinator for WeRoad, Vikki has been busy touring the world on adventures, but she has been rubbing shoulders with some of the ITV soap's famous faces after arriving in Weatherfield.

Vikki said: "I can't say too much about my recent filming on Coronation Street, but I will be interviewing some of the famous faces on the screen. I'm still waiting for that lead role in Corrie, I have always loved the show. Plus it's right across the road from where I live and I am neighbours with some of the cast and crew so it's already part of my daily life, and very convenient."

Vikki said that Snoop Dogg wanted a role on Corrie too: "I think Snoop and I would be the next dream team to run the Rovers: The 2023 version of Alec Gilroy and Bet Lynch!"

And she hasn't ruled out a singsong on the world's most famous street. "I can never say no to a singsong, particularly if it's part of my repertoire!" she enthused.

Vikki added: "I would never say no to a spot on Big Brother or Corrie, it would run along nicely with my travel coordinator job as WeRoad is very flexible with schedules - so watch this space!"
