An Edinburgh man who was on the FBI Most Wanted list has been caught after five years on the run.
Afzal Khan, a 37-year-old married dad of two, was wanted over an alleged £1.3million luxury car scam, and could face up to 100 years in prison if convicted. He is accused of conning customers and financial firms at a motor dealership he ran in New Jersey.
Khan, originally from Edinburgh, opened the Emporio Motor Group in the US in 2013.
He has appeared on reality TV show the Real Housewives of New Jersey and a number of the cast members were among his clients. He was arrested in the United Arab Emirates and flown to the US on Monday. He is currently being held in Bergen County jail awaiting trial.
In November he appeared on US television to say he wanted to surrender but his pleas were being ignored, adding: "What more do I have to do? I'm basically practically begging you. I'm a fugitive from justice saying 'arrest me'."
After the arrest, FBI Special Agent Gregory Ehrie said: "Mr Khan came to the sobering reality that he could not outrun the FBI."
