After Sonu Sood, Salman Khan distributes essentials to flood-affected areas of Maharashtra

After Sonu Sood came out to lend a helping hand to the residents of the flood-affected regions of Maharashtra, Salman Khan too has come forward to distribute essentials.

According to a report in a news portal, the ‘Dabangg’ star reportedly dispatched five tempos containing essentials to Chiplun, Mahad and other villages near Mahabaleshwar. The vehicles were flagged off by Aaditya Thackeray, the state’s cabinet minister of tourism and environment.

Yuva Sena leader Rahul N Kanal told the news portal that Salman reached out to him as soon as word reached him. They have reportedly sent 500 ration kits. Every kit contains five kilos of rice and wheat each, two kilos of dal, one litre oil, one kilo tea powder and two kilos of mixed spices. He added that they have also sent 50,000 bottles of mineral water, 5,000 sanitary napkins, and 50,000 biscuit packets. Additionally, they have also provided utensils and some ready-to-eat meals.

Further, Rahul added that Salman has asked them to ask the locals about their requirements. On their next trip, they intend to send clothes, utensils and other items.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Salman was last seen in Prabhudheva’s ‘Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai’ co-starring Disha Patani, Jackie Shroff and Randeep Hooda in key roles. It received mixed reviews.

Next, he has films like, ‘Kick 2’ with Jacqueline Fernandez and ‘Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali’ co-starring Pooja Hegde in his pipeline. The actor has also reportedly been approached for the official Hindi remake of south film, ‘Master’. It starred Vijay in the lead role. Although the actor has reportedly liked the script, he is yet to sign the dotted lines.
