After quick submission win on DWCS 32, Aliaskhab Khizriev says he’s ready to take on the UFC’s best

LAS VEGAS – Aliaskhab Khizriev made quick work of Henrique Shiguemoto to punch his ticket to the UFC.

It took former Fight Nights Global welterweight champion Khizriev (13-0) just 50 seconds to submit Shiguemoto Tuesday at Dana White’s Contender Series 32, and the undefeated prospect says he’s more than ready for the big leagues.

“I’m long time ago ready to fight with UFC top fighters,” Khizriev told reporters, including MMA Junkie, after his win at the UFC Apex.

His performance earned gushing praise from UFC president Dana White after the event, but despite impressing his new boss, Khizriev doesn’t rate his performance that highly and is confident that he has even more to give.

“I don’t think this is my best performance,” Khizriev said. “If you watched my other fights, you can see how I’m aggressive, how I fight, and I will fight often, and I wanna grow up and show my best shape soon.”
