PANAJI: After more than 45 days, Goa reported zero Covid deaths on Monday.
The state’s daily count of infections remained below the 50-mark, while the case positivity rate stood at 4.1% for 1,179 tests conducted over the past 24 hours.
The recoveries for the day were 40; the count was comparatively lower than other days. The recovery rate remained steady at 98.2%. The state had 579 active cases.
Of 49 new cases reported, 48 patients were home isolated while one needed hospitalisation. One person was discharged from hospital on recovery.
Health services department has been conducting inoculations through its integrated programme at health centres for all categories.
