After getting booed all game by his own fans, Neymar scores a bicycle-kick winner in stoppage time

PSG took on Strasbourg in Ligue 1 action on Saturday, and through 91 minutes, the plucky Strasbourg team had clung to a 0-0 scoreline. They seemed destined to pull out a huge tie against the giants from Paris, but then Neymar decided to casually drop a left-footed bicycle-kick winner in the 92nd minute.

It’s the sort of magic that Neymar can produce at any moment, even when he’s clearly fed up with this PSG team and all but openly pining to move back to a club in Spain.

PSG fans know this, and they spent much of the game on Saturday booing their own player. After Neymar scored, the crowd went kind of quiet. Some fans cheered, others started booing again.

Neymar reacted by not even really bothering to celebrate, which was a cherry on this awkward sundae.

After the game, Neymar said he didn’t exactly blame the fans, but he understood what it was going to be like moving forward.

The non-celebration was pretty cool, though.

I’m sure this won’t be a storyline moving forward at all. (Just kidding, it’s all anyone will talk about re: Neymar all season. Wheeeee.)
