After ending partnership with Cam Newton, Dannon reportedly signs Dak Prescott to endorsement deal

The same day Dannon dropped its sponsorship deal with Panthers quarterback Cam Newton, the popular yogurt brand signed Dak Prescott to an endorsement contract, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Schefter also reported that Dannon has a commercial shoot scheduled with Prescott this week in Dallas.

The Cowboys quarterback already had a long list of endorsements that included AT&T, Adidas, Pepsi, Tostitos, 7-Eleven, Beats By Dre, Panini, Campbell's Chunky Soup, New Era caps, Keurig and Nicholas Air.

According to ESPN's Darren Rovell, with the new Dannon deal, sponsors will pay Prescott around $3 million this year. His base salary this season with the Cowboys is $540,000.

Prescott has been asked several times over the last few months about juggling such a busy schedule of football, charity events and endorsements.

"Nothing can conflict with my schedule of playing football," Prescott said in June. "And all of them understand that. The only reason they want to talk to me is because (I'm playing well). So I need to keep doing what got me there and they all understand that.

"The people in my corner understand that and they know how important this game is to me."

Dannon parted ways with Newton after he made what the company called "sexist" comments to a female reporter during a news conference Wednesday.
