After Aldi v M&S, Domino's takes on Subway with new 'dupe' pizza

Aldi found itself thrust into the spotlight last week when Marks & Spencer discussed legal action - saying the supermarket's Cuthbert caterpillar cake is too similar to M&S's Colin.

But that hasn't deterred Domino's from taking on one of their food rivals - Subway.

Domino’s brings its latest crowd-pleaser pizza to menus across the country - the Meatball Marinara.

Subway fans will know the Metaball Marinara is one of the sandwich chain's most popular offerings.

Domino's Meatball Marinara boasts pork meatballs, tomato sauce, red onions and Domino’s herbs with a sprinkling of mozzarella cheese and a second helping of the tasty tomato sauce drizzled on top.

Josh Engleman, Meatball Master at Domino’s, said: “Our pizza innovation chefs know our customers are proper foodies at heart who love the classics.

"Using high-quality ingredients and fresh dough we’ve created a taste sensation that is perfect for sharing with friends and family.

"As the UK finally begins to reopen, forget about firing up the barbeque. We’re sure this slice of meatball magic will be the food of long-awaited reunions.”

The latest addition to the menu comes hot on the heels of Domino’s Vegan-Friendly range expansion in January, and the launch of Absolute Banger in February.

Meatball Marinara pizza is available now to order online, through the Domino’s app or via your nearest store.
