LUCKNOW: After a week’s gap, the number of active Covid-19 cases in UP dropped below the 100-mark again on Friday.
Active cases in UP were recorded at 98 in the past 24 hours, even as eight new Covid-19 cases were reported. Twelve patients also recovered in the last 24 hours.
“Covid has not ended yet and we need to take full precautions even after getting the vaccine,” said additional chief secretary, health, Amit Mohan Prasad. At least 40 districts are Covid-free.
These include Aligarh, Auraiya, Ayodhya, Badaun, Baghpat, Ballia, Bahraich, Bhadohi, Bijnor, Bulandshahr, Chandauli, Chitrakoot, Deoria, Etawah, Farrukhabad, Ghazipur, Gonda, Hamirpur, Hapur, Hardoi, Hathras, Jaunpur, Jhansi, Kanpur Dehat, Kasganj, Kushinagar, Lakhimpur Kheri, Maharajganj, Mahoba, Mainpuri, Pratapgarh, Rae Bareli, Rampur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Shamli, Shravasti, Siddharthnagar, Sonbhadra, Sultanpur and Unnao.
