The Power outlast the Dogs in Ballarat
Port Adelaide has snuck back into the top four - for now - with a 17-point win over the Western Bulldogs.
In the first-ever AFL game played in Ballarat, the Power came home over the top to win 14.12 (96) to 11.13 (79).
The Bulldogs needed to win to keep their slim premiership defence hopes on track. They led for most of the day, but the sides went goal for goal in a tense final quarter before Ken Hinkley's men kicked the final five goals of the game to prevail.
In the end, Bailey Dale kicked four for the Dogs, while Charlie Dixon matched him for the visitors.
There was bad news on the injury front for the Bulldogs, with forward Jake Stringer leaving the game in the first quarter with a hamstring injury.
More to come.
