AFL:Freo fans urged to fire up as coach maintains focus

Fremantle coach Justin Longmuir has given long-suffering fans a licence to rip the lid off while reminding his players they haven't yet earned the right to do the same.

In pursuit of a maiden AFL premiership, the Dockers will spend a third straight week on top of the ladder after Saturday's club-record 124-point drubbing of North Melbourne in Bunbury.

The comprehensive 24.11 (155) to 4.7 (31) victory extended their club-record winning streak to a dozen games ahead of their mid-season bye.

Fremantle, who entered the AFL in 1995, have only once reached the grand final - when they lost to Hawthorn in 2013.

But they have never been in a better position at this point of a season and are riding a wave of momentum into the second half of the campaign.
