Affectionate Lemmy needs a new home

An affectionate young dog is looking for a new place to call home.

Animal welfare experts are appealing to find a new home for Lemmy Longlegs a four-year-old greyhound, who is currently living at Dogs Trust West Calder Rehoming Centre.

His carers say he is a sweetheart and enjoys a gentle fuss and ear rubs.

A spokeswoman for Dogs Trust said: “Lemmy had arrived with us after his racing career had finished and due to his breed, he does have a tendency to chase fast moving small furries but is happy to wear a muzzle when out walking. He would need his own secure garden where he can be off his lead and free to run around with his favourite squeaky teddy.

“Lemmy is looking for new owners who will be at home most of the time as he is a sensitive chap who loves to be near people.

“He can live with children 12 years and older and is good with other dogs his size.

“If you think you could provide a loving home for Lemmy Longlegs, or any of the other 50 dogs currently available for rehoming, please contact the centre on 01506 873459.”
