Liverpool could be about to find out whether they will be impacted by the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) after all.
The rearranged tournament is due to start in Cameroon in less than three weeks.
However, there have been conflicting reports recently over whether or not it will go-ahead.
Reports emerged last week that there would be talks held over a possible postponement of the tournament due to rising Covid-19 cases and player welfare.

However, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) responded by describing those reports as 'fake news'.
Now, though, in a fresh update provided by Press Association journalist Rob Harris, there is a meeting due to take place today between CAF and the Cameroon government to discuss the fate of the tournament.
Harris said on Twitter: "Meetings in Cameroon today on the fate of the African Nations with CAF battling against coronavirus concerns to protect the tournament which is due to start in less than 3 weeks."
Ben Sutherland, the sport editor for BBC Africa, added on Twitter: "We should get some real clarity today on whether #Afcon is still going ahead - big meeting with @CAF_Online and the Cameroon government."
This comes on the same day as managers and captains from all 20 Premier League club are due to meet to discuss the possible postponement of the English top flight over the festive period.

Should AFCON go-ahead, then Liverpool would likely be without three first-team players.
Mohamed Salah is expected to lead the line for Egypt, as is Sadio Mane for Senegal, while Naby Keita is a key player in midfield for Guinea.
The tournament is due to begin on January 9 with the final taking place four weeks later on February 6.
