AFC Wimbledon vs Sunderland team news with three changes from last League One game

After making numerous changes for the midweek EFL Trophy win over Port Vale, Lee Johnson reverted to a similar side that started last Saturday’s League draw against Hull City.

There were still three changes to the team that began against the Tigers, however.
Jordan Willis, who played against Vale, retained his place in central defence with Dion Sanderson making way.

Conor McLaughlin needs hernia surgery which means Max Power moved to right-back, with Elliot Embleton replacing Power in midfield.

And Aiden O’Brien was rewarded for his performance in the Trophy with a start, taking the place of Jack Diamond.

New signing Carl Winchester was cup-tied for the Trophy game but was included on the bench at Plough Lane.

Luke O’Nien was also amongst the subs as he made his first appearance in the squad since dislocating his shoulder against Burton at the beginning of December.

Dons boss Glyn Hodges made five changes to the line-up that lost at home to Lincoln City in the League last weekend.

On-loan Blackpool keeper Sam Walker replaced Connal Trueman in goal, with Will Nightingale, Ethan Chislett, Nesta Guinness-Walker, and Ryan Longman, coming in for Terell Thomas, Cheye Alexander, Paul Kalambayi, and Ollie Palmer.

You can follow the game throughout the afternoon in our live blog here, with all the latest as it happens.
