AFC Wimbledon vs Millwall
FA Cup 2018-19
Venue: Cherry Red Records Stadium
Date: Saturday, February 16, 2019
Kick-off: 3.00pm GMT
Two FA Cup giant-killers collide in a fifth-round south London derby at the Cherry Red Records Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
AFC Wimbledon sit rock bottom and seven points adrift of safety with only 14 matches remaining in the third tier despite winning at Walsall in midweek, but such a dismal league performance has done little to quell their appetite for a cup shock.
Under the guidance of Crazy Grang alumnus Wally Downes, the Dons stunned Joey Barton's Fleetwood in a five-goal thriller thanks to a 90th-minute winner from Kwesi Appiah before going 3-0 up in just 46 minutes at home to West Ham.
They then held off a spirited Hammers fightback to claim a famous 4-2 victory.
Opponents Millwall will be glancing nervously over their shoulders in the Championship relegation battle and currently hover just three points above the drop zone, albeit with a game in hand on their rivals.
They saw off Hull in round three before a controversial and highly dramatic 3-2 defeat of Premier League Everton.
AFC Wimbledon vs Millwall team news
Millwall look short on striking options for this cup clash, with manager Neil Harris explaining that Tom Elliott has been struggling with a bacterial virus.
Lee Gregory will also need to be assessed after coming off with cramp in his calf during Tuesday's goalless draw against Sheffield Wednesday, while Tom Bradshaw will not play again this season due to a ruptured ACL sustained in November.
Goalkeeper Ben Amos is now back training, but Conor McLaughlin is having trouble getting back to 100% fitness. Ben Thompson, Ben Marshall and Fred Onyedinma are all cup-tied.
Score prediction: AFC Wimbledon 1-2 Millwall AET
Both of these teams will probably fancy their chances of securing a spot in the quarter-finals and with fifth-round replays scrapped from this season, the tie cannot be taken back to The Den.
It is easy to foresee a committed, close and tense contest - particularly given that goal-shy Millwall have not scored in three league games since beating Everton - that may have to be settled during extra-time or via the dreaded lottery of penalties.

Head to head (h2h) history and results
AFC Wimbledon are winless in four previous meetings against Millwall, losing two and drawing a pair.
These two sides could not be separated in either of their League One fixtures during the 2016-17 campaign, with a goalless draw at The Den followed two months later by an entertaining 2-2 tie in Kingston upon Thames.
Millwall won their only previous FA Cup tie 4-1 in 2009 before also winning 2-1 in the League Cup in 2013.
