Luton make it 20 league games unbeaten by winning 2-1 at Fleetwood.

A late goal at Lincoln. Ilias Chair has got his second for Stevenage to make it 2-2. Lincoln no longer able to sit so pretty at the top of League Two. Still plenty of time to be played, too, with eight minutes added on.

Updated

Ipswich managed to get a late goal, and equalise against Stoke, with Will Keane making it 1-1 deep into injury time. Preston and Nottingham Forest drew 0-0, as the MONKeano revolution struggles to get going at Forest.

Full-time: AFC Wimbledon 0-1 Millwall

And that’s Millwall into the quarter-final draw after Murray Wallace’s early goal. Scott Wagstaff’s beard didn’t get its run-out and AFC Wimbledon’s cup run is at its end.

Up in Scotland, it has to be mentioned that Rangers have drawn 0-0 with St Johnstone, having badly missed Alfredo Morelos, the Luis Suarez of Govan.

It’s full time at Bramall Lane, where Sheffield United have won 4-0 against Reading and will go second in the Championship.

Stevenage have got one back against Lincoln. Ilias Chair’s goal means the League One leaders can’t sit easy on this one.

Into the last minute of the FA Cup tie at the Cherry Red, and AFC are piling forward in chase of the equaliser.

Oh no, poor David Beckham. Dover are 3-1 up at Salford City. Jai Reason scored the third for the White Cliffs outfit. Do they sing “Love Me For A Reason” at the Crabble Athletic Ground?

Good piece of crestfallen, literal tweeting here. Just the facts. And the hashtag.

Millwall have twice gone close against Wimbledon, with it taking a last-gasp tackle from Andy Barcham to stop Lee Gregory scoring what would have been a certain goal. Aaron Ramsdale has just made a fine save from Ryan Leonard. A second Millwall goal is more likely than an equaliser.

Manchester City are not taking Newport County lightly in this evening’s game, judging by this team selection.

Updated

Lincoln City are now 2-0 up on Stevenage, with Bruno Andrade scoring his second of the day.

Geoff Wignall, definitely a fellow head, emails in: “Hi, I can’t imagine how I ever came to know this, but besides being a Groundhogs song Cherry Red was (like Purple Haze, Blue Cheer, Orange Sunshine and Strawberry Field) a variety of LSD during the late 60s/ early 70s.”

Blue Cheer were also a band, known in the psychedelic era as the loudest around, the story being that a passing dog was killed by the sheer force of their amps.

Norwich/Monaco juxtapositional stat here from Richard Jolly.

Norwich could have made it five, but, after Pukki was brought down in the box, but Kenny McLean has had his penalty saved. Norwich have an atrocious record with spot-kicks, and they might need them should the play-offs loom in May.

David Beckham has just seen another Dover Athletic goal in his Salford City magic kingdom. That’s 2-1 to the visitors.

Chances being created at the Cherry Red, with Millwall keeper Jordan Archer forced to make a save from Michael Folivi, and Jake Cooper firing in a shot for Millwall.

Scott Wagstaff, he of the multi-coloured beard, will take no part as the Dons have made all their substitutions; there is something a little sad about that....Or will he get a chance after all? If it goes to extra-time, an extra sub is allowed. Fifth round ties have no replays, remember.

Updated

Norwich have another! It’s 4-0, with Teemu Pukki burying Bolton with a cool lob for the fourth. And Daniel Farke’s team will clamber above Leeds. And so will Sheffield United, who are also 4-0 up in their game with Reading.

Luton, streaking clear at the top of League One, are now 2-0 up on Fleetwood. Pelly Ruddock got the goal and a 20-match unbeaten run is being closed in on.

League Two leaders Lincoln are 1-0 up on Stevenage, with Bruno Andrade looping in a header, his third goal in three games. Mansfield, in second, lost earlier to Notts County.

Sheffield United are now 4-0 up, with a deflected strike from John Fleck meaning that Reading are being further put to the sword. Macc Town’s lead lasted just moments of actual play as Colchester have equalised, with Frank Nouble scoring from the penalty spot.

Updated

The second halves are back underway, with the first goal coming north of the border with Dunfermline scoring against Inverness through Joe Thomson.

Louise Taylor spoke to Doncaster Rovers’ nobleman ahead of their tie with Crystal Palace.

The earlier FA Cup game ended up with Chris Hughton’s men squeaking through to the last eight.

Half-time scores in the Championship:

Rotherham United 2-2 Sheffield Wednesday (full-time score)
Aston Villa 0-2 West Bromwich Albion
Bolton Wanderers 0-3 Norwich City
Ipswich Town 0-1 Stoke City
Preston North End 0-0 Nottingham Forest
Sheffield United 3-0 Reading

Updated

It’s half-time at the Cherry Red, and the score remains AFC Wimbledon 0-1 Millwall.

With Notts County breathing down their necks at the bottom of League Two, Macclesfield Town are 1-0 up on Colchester, having scored on the stroke of half-time through Scott Wilson.

Updated

Meanwhile, West Brom are now 2-0 up on Aston Villa. Jay Rodriguez got that one with a long-range effort.

Both Sheffield United and Norwich City are now 3-0 up Gary Madine, the goal machine, has got another for Blades, while Emiliano Buendía has scored Norwich’s third.

In the Brum derby, Hal Robson-Kanu has scored for West Brom, who lead Aston Villa 1-0.

Altrincham are playing in rainbow colours modelled on the LGBT Pride Flag. They lead Bradford Park Avenue 1-0.

Wimbledon coming back into the game against Millwall. Toby Sibbick has had the best chance so far for them, and there has been a penalty appeal.

David Beckham has just seen his first Salford concession, with Dan McNamara, on loan from Millwall, scoring for Dover.

Norwich, by the way, are 2-0 up at Bolton. Marco Stiepermann got it and Daniel Farke’s team should be top at the end of tonight, barring a Portsmouth-esque collapse.

Updated

Paul Scholes’ Oldham Athletic, as they will be known for now, have taken the lead against Crewe; Callum Lang got the goal.

Down at the Cherry Red, it’s still 1-0 to Millwall, who have been bossing things since Murray Wallace’s goal.

Duncan Edwards, clearly a fellow head, emails in: “I have the album Split by the Groundhogs and that Cherry Red compilation which features a memorable short rant by Quentin Crisp about the dangers of popular music and mentions the football terraces!”

Yes, and here it is.

Simon McMahon emails in: “Good afternoon, John. So, Watford and Brighton through to the FA Cup quarter finals, Millwall looking like joining them, the country seemingly on the verge of economic and social collapse. Have I fallen asleep and woken up in 1984?”

Yes, Threads is on Channel 4 tonight.

Up in Scotland, Hibs, under the new management of Paul Heckingbottom, have taken the lead against Albion.

Sheffield United have scored again. It’s 2-0 against Reading, with Gary Madine getting that. Billy Sharp has been left on the bench and it looks like he will not be required. That was Madine’s first ever goal for Blades; he used to be an Owl, of course.

Updated

David Beckham has just seen his first Salford goal, scored by Dennis Politic, whose nickname is probably not “The Governor”.

Norwich have taken the lead, and it’s Teemu Pukki again, with a smart finish at Bolton. The Canaries flying to the top of the league.

Bad news for Sheffield Wednesday fans amid that late goal joy.

Goal! Wimbledon 0-1 Millwall (Wallace, 5)

An early goal for the Championship team as Wallace the Scotsman heads home.

By the way, they are off and running in the FA Cup.

An early goal in the Championship 3pm kick-offs, where Sheffield United have taken the lead through Kieron Freeman....time still ticks on at Rotherham...and it’s 2-2! Dominic Iorfa scores it and Fernando Forestieri is red-carded for over-celebrating. That’s now a final score. All happening in the Steel City.

Updated

Into the ninth minute of added time now...

Updated

There’s a lengthy amount of injury time being played at the New York Stadium, where Rotherham are still leading Sheffield Wednesday 2-1.

Notts County held on for a famous win in beating local rivals Mansfield 1-0 and to climb to a point behind second-bottom Macclesfield.

Updated

Here’s David again, with Class of ‘95 member Phil Neville.

In that South Yorkshire derby, Richard Towell has scored for Rotherham to put them 2-1 up against Sheffield Wednesday. That’s put a dampener on things for Steve Bruce...

Here’s the report from the Amex from Paul Doyle.

And Brighton march on to the sixth round after holding off Derby’s late surge: it finished 2-1 to the Albion.

Full-time at Roots Hall where it’s finished 3-3 between Southend and Portsmouth. Some game, that. Great advert for League Two.

Updated

Look who’s at Salford City. None other than co-owner (Not Sir) David Beckham.

It’s now 3-3 between Southend and Portsmouth. It was 3-0 to Portsmouth. Simon Cox got the equaliser and did a very silly dance to celebrate.

In the FA Cup, it’s now 2-1 to Brighton against Derby, and Ashley Cole has just scored his first ever FA Cup goal.

Here’s the Bolton v Norwich teams.

Kingsmeadow is known these days as the Cherry Red Stadium, after the August record label that gave the world Felt, Everything But The Girl, The Nightingales, plus the last incarnation of The Fall. They also released the Pillows & Prayers compilation LP. It used to retail at 99p, but will cost you about £8 from your local unfriendly second-hand record store. Cherry Red comes from a song by the Groundhogs, fact fans.

Get your early-1970s groove wig-out on.

Here are the teams are Kingsmeadow.

Some latest scores from the EFL:

HT: Rotherham 1-1 Sheff Wed in the South Yorkshire derby.

Southend 1-3 Portsmouth in League One, and they are deep into the second half.

HT: Notts County 1-0 Mansfield - County, bottom of the league, are reviving. That’s bad news for Macclesfield, Morecambe and Yeovil.

Fancy some Golden Goal action? Sachin Nakrani is your man for that.

Insert obligatory Womble tweet here. The spirit of Elizabeth Beresford and Mike Batt lives on (as does Mike Batt, come to think of it).

Preamble

Such is the magic of the modern FA Cup that there is but one fifth round tie to be played at 3pm on a Saturday. And it’s a London derby, if Wimbledon is in London; it used to be classed as Surrey. Millwall are the visitors to the club that knocked out West Ham in the last round in a superb match. Kingsmeadow is the venue, and Wally Downes, original member of the Crazy Gang, is plotting the downfall of those loveable Lions.

That is not the only action in good old Albion. The Championship has an anaemic look about it, with Leeds not in action, but Norwich have chance to bite back after that shock 3-1 loss at Preston in midweek when they face strugglers - both on and off the field - Bolton. It seems old school, but Aston Villa v West Brom is a Saturday, 3pm kick-off, too, while Sheffield United have chance to climb into the top two when they take on Reading at Bramall Lane.

Further down, Luton are at Joey Barton’s Fleetwood - yes, he is still the manager, in League One, while at the Valley, Charlton welcome Blackpool, newly rid of Owen Oyston but staring a 12-point deduction in the face.

League Two leaders Lincoln take on Stevenage.
