AFC South standings entering Week 4

Entering Week 4 of the season, the division race in the AFC South is still as tight as ever, and it appears that any team could truly make a run for the top spot.

It is still extremely early so the division is going to change drastically over the coming weeks, but it is beginning to take shape. Two of the teams have winning records while the other two are sporting losing records.

Here’s a look at how the standings shake out entering Week 4:

1. Houston Texans (2-1)

The Texans were on the road again—this time in against the Los Angeles Chargers. They snuck out a 27-20 win despite the offense being relatively quiet. Deshaun Watson had a strong day throwing for 351 yards and three touchdowns, two of which went to tight end Jordan Akins.

The Texans return home in Week 4 to host the Carolina Panthers at NRG Stadium.

2. Indianapolis Colts (2-1)

Following a dominating first half, the Colts came out with a win in their home opener for the first time since 2013. They defeated the Atlanta Falcons 27-24 at Lucas Oil Stadium behind a career day from quarterback Jacoby Brissett, who threw for 310 yards and two touchdowns. Wide receiver T.Y. Hilton had a strong first half before exiting with injury, catching eight passes for 65 yards and a touchdown.

The Colts are home again in Week 4 hosting the Oakland Raiders at Lucas Oil Stadium.

3. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-2)

The age of Gardner Minshew is here. The rookie quarterback has taken the league by storm with his cutoff jorts and classic mustache. He led the Jaguars to a dominating win over the Titans on Thursday Night Football. He threw for 204 yards and two touchdowns while wide receiver D.J. Chark continued his hot start catching four passes for 76 yards and a touchdown.

The Jaguars are on the road in Week 4 visiting the Denver Broncos at Mile High Stadium.

4. Tennessee Titans (1-2)

The outlook doesn’t bode well for the Titans. Marcus Mariota doesn’t look good under pressure, and the offense is completely one dimensional. The defense is still a stout unit, but the Titans are at the bottom of the division and trending down. Fortunately, it’s still early for them to turn things around.

The Titans are on the road in the Week 4 visiting the Atlanta Falcons at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
