AFC North watch: Bengals hiring Zac Taylor as new head coach

It’s going to be weird looking at the Cincinnati Bengals and not seeing Marvin Lewis on the sidelines as their head coach. After 16 seasons, the Bengals moved on from the venerable coach.

Replacing him falls to Zac Taylor. The youthful Taylor is finally free to take the gig now that the 2018 season has wrapped for his Los Angeles Rams. Taylor, 35, served as the Rams’ QB coach under Sean McVay. He’s also been an assistant coach with the Miami Dolphins (2012-15) and the offensive coordinator for the University of Cincinnati in 2016.

He is the 10th head coach in Bengals history. College football fans might remember him as the starting QB for the Nebraska Cornhuskers in 2005-06.
