AEW Announces Its Biggest Show Ever at London’s Wembley Stadium

AEW is going “All In” with its first show in the United Kingdom.

AEW will make its UK debut with an event at London’s Wembley Stadium on Sunday, Aug. 27. The show, which is being called AEW: All In London, will mark the first time Wembley Stadium has hosted professional wrestling since WWE SummerSlam 1992.

AEW owner Tony Khan made the announcement on Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite.

“The UK is one of the most important markets in professional wrestling, and AEW is coming in hot as the number one wrestling company in the UK on television,” Khan said in a press release. “We want our debut in London to be epic in scale, and there’s no better venue than Wembley Stadium to deliver what I know will be one of the greatest events in AEW’s history.”

With Wembley Stadium having a 90,000-seat capacity, this will be the most ambitious event AEW has ever produced. AEW’s current attendance record is 20,177, from the Dynamite Grand Slam event at New York City’s Arthur Ashe Stadium in 2021.

WWE announced an attendance of 80,355 people for SummerSlam 1992 at Wembley Stadium.

The All In name carries an important place in pro wrestling history. In 2018, The Young Bucks, Cody Rhodes, and Kenny Omega self-promoted the inaugural All In pay-per-view. It drew more than 10,000 fans, becoming the first non-WWE show in the United States to do so since WCW closed its doors. The success of the show helped lead to the launch of AEW in 2019.

Tickets for All In London are going on sale on Friday, May 5.

Wednesday was a newsworthy night for AEW with it also being announced that former NJPW star Jay White has signed with the company.
