Aer Lingus pilot leaves Dublin Airport passengers erupting with laughter telling 'Brexit' themed joke

The in-flight entertainment on flights isn't always top notch banter but this Aer Lingus pilot made sure to get his passengers smiling before they even took off.

Steve Conlon was on a flight from Dublin Airport to Berlin on the day of the Election vote in Parliament and was taken aback when the pilot shouted out something about the UK over the intercom.

He tweeted saying: "On flight Dublin to Berlin with Aer Lingus - doors have just closed.

"As we pull from the gate, pilot announces that he expects some slight turbulence whilst flying over the UK. Plane erupts in sniggers.#BrexitShambles #brexitmehole #Brexit."

Of course, people were quick to jump in to say that it didn't happen while others chimed in saying that there was nothing funny about the situation in the UK at the moment.

One person said: "You only have to fly over it, imagine living through this nightmare! #brexitmehole #StopTheCoup #stopBrexit #RevokeA50 #SOS."

Another added: "I would ask the pilot to let me know when we are over Downing street and make sure I was ready to flush the toilet."

But most kept it quite simple and just posted GIFs of people laughing as well as one of Jacob Rees-Mogg lying back on the benches and similing.

Let it never be said that there's nothing funny about Brexit.
